S.Wine (Publika), located in the bustling Publika Shopping Gallery, is a hidden gem for non-halal food lovers in Kuala Lumpur. Nestled within the BIG supermarket, this restaurant proudly serves an array of delectable pork dishes that have charmed many diners. Guests like Coleman Chin rave about the grilled pork neck and jackfruit salad, finding the combination of flavors delightful and the service prompt. Meanwhile, Parama Sivam highlights the restaurant's standout bacon strips and pork burgers, calling it one of the best non-halal spots around.

The ambiance is casual yet inviting, although the hard dining chairs may require a bit of endurance. Reviews note that while the food is generously portioned and well-seasoned, the pricing can lean on the high side; for instance, YX mentions that some dishes, like the pork belly, were hit or miss in terms of fat content. Nevertheless, the comforting mushroom soup garnered positive remarks, proving that there are enough hits to make it worthwhile.

Overall, S.Wine (Publika) combines a diverse menu with a cozy setting, making it a solid choice for those yearning for a hearty, pork-centric dining experience in KL.

Review highlights

Based on 290 reviews

S.Wine (Publika) is recognized for its diverse Asian fusion menu with a strong emphasis on pork dishes, appealing to non-halal diners. Customers frequently praise the generous portions and flavorful options, such as grilled pork neck, bacon strips, and specialty pastas. The restaurant's location within the Publika shopping gallery, particularly near the non-halal section, is noted as somewhat hidden and inconvenient, with calls for a standalone venue. While the food quality is generally appreciated, some patrons mention the pricing as relatively high and express mixed opinions on certain cuts of meat and texture. Service is described as friendly but could improve to match the dining experience. Overall, S.Wine garners positive feedback for its unique offerings and atmosphere despite minor operational critiques.

Visited this restaurant again after a long while. As the name suggests, it's non halal. Tucked away in an inconspicuous corner of the BIG supermarket in Publika, you need to navigate past the non halal section to get there. We had the grilled pork neck & jackfruit salad, ceaser salad, spicy olio bacon & mushroom pasta, bak chor mee, crispy buttercream pork chop, grilled lemongrass pork chop and bacon salt fries. The orders arrived amazingly fast, maybe because they were not busy at the time. We totally enjoyed every dish with their pleasant surprise of flavours. The service was great and although the dining chairs were a bit hard, the restaurant was nicely laid out. Definitely recommend dining.

One of the best non halal restaurants in town that serves awesome Bacon strips and prom burgers. Took my kids there and tried spicy Olio, Burger and bacon strips. Restaurant should have it's own place outside Big Ben, clearly they are not working together.. Its a shame.

Food is good and portion is quite generous. Have a Christmas exchange dinner there and we all have a great time. Ordered their Nam Yu pork rice that come with fluffy scramble egg and soup. Waiter is quite attentive and friendly. Will come back again.

Price is on the high side but food was not considered over the top for this kind of pricing. The pork belly was way too fat like 70% fats and only 30% meat although the marination was good. The pork chop and pork shoulder was a bit tough but acceptable. Mushroom soup was good though. For similar food with better quality and value for money although no fuss, Anne Elizabeth would be a better choice.

I thought this place was closed. I came here several times previously and thought it was closed since the blinds were closed. Was pleasantly surprised when I realized that they still were in business. For was quite yummy, I ordered the lemongrass pork while my mum ordered the pork burger. Food was decent but on pricey side. Great variety of food but service can be improved for such a small place. Go into the supermarket and head towards the non halal section, it's located towards the end.

Located within Ben's Grocer is a restaurant filled with excellent deco and a place to dine with good lighting, each dish on the menu cost between 20-40, when ordering they will hand you a one page menu and a small card showing their drinks. The taste of each dish is surprisingly tasty, although the fries looked a bit store-bought. Hey, the pastas looked normal until you tasted the sauce, flavours burst into your tongue. I would say it's a place for special occasions or maybe you wanna impress someone. Would come here again for the pastas and I forgot to mention, pork based restaurant. Yes, this restaurant is non halal. Wanna give it a 4.5 star, the open style kitchen need to have more ventilation, perhaps closed the kitchen with a layer of glass. Would come again if I'm around Publika, if you want seats, reserve early, there'll be a queue!

They serve the best watermelon lychee pork salad, worth coming back for it. the taste has been consistent after many visits. Their Asian Thai fusion dishes are great, worth trying too. Their ribs is trash tho and some pork belly and char siew not worth ordering also.

Service was good . The salted egg yolk pasta and the burger was amazing . However the aglio was too spicy and lack of the prominent garlic taste. Overall this is a nice place to dine in !
